Many rolled their eyes when first mentioned that Tom Cruise took the leading part. However, this one did a very decent job at delivering. The story and acting were very well done. Of course there were the small errors in Uniforms, medals, rank etc, but that's always the case. Cruise does nicely with a cast very well known from past War Films like "DownFall"," Conspiracy" and "Black Book". The ending is of no surprise to historians, but comes as quite moving to say the least. If you are a fan of War History give this one a look. Even if you don't like Cruise, you'll be pleasantly surprised.
