This was much better than I gathered from other reviews and comments. The acting from Christian Bale wasn't so wonderful (and what was with that voice? ), but on the plus side, I was amazed to see Arnie in a small cameo scene, that was worth the ticket price. It can't have been easy to make time for that, with the pressures he is feeling as governor of a debt-ridden california. The plot is a bit distracted, and for Terminators, they seem much too obsessed with fisticuffs rather than just eliminating humans, that was a truly weak plot moment. The "signal" was a clever plot device, I confess I didn't see that coming. I did enjoy it, and it does not require a lot of previous movie episodes data to understand or follow. Not for everybody, but sci-fi aficionados will be unable to resist (like me) A solid 8.
