There were criticisms of Cate Blanchett's performance as Lady Marianne being too serious and not very feminine. I kind of like that rather than the usual damsel in distress we seen in the past. Both Russell Crowe and Mark Strong were terrific. Ridley Scott did an awesome joy with the battle scenes.
