Great characters in this movie. A lot more depth of character than you see in most. Robert Francis is good as the young officer that the movie revolves around. It is an interesting way of telling the story, since he is not central to the actual story, with Humphrey Bogart playing the captain and Van Johnson playing the second in command. All the characters and actors are excellent, Jose Ferrer as the lawyer following the "mutiny" and the actresses that portray Francis's character's girlfriend and mother are both excellent and add to the reality of the story.
