In general, the summer movie season has been a bust. However, this low budget independent drama is well paced, well acted, & well written. Jennifer Lawrence as Ree Dolly steals the film as the lead character. The film is about a daughter's desperate search for her father so that she, her mom, & her 2 siblings don't lose the family home. What comes is a lot of twists & turns while searching for her father. It's has two very intense scenes that'll haunt you. Now I know why this film the Grand Jury prize at this year's 2010 Sundance film festival. A definite must-see movie!
