There is no doubt that the visual effects are pretty spectacular. That being said, I just couldn't get pass the Australian accent from (the Greek demigod) Perseus - when he did speak between the grunts and groans. Stiff acting or at best soap opera type acting. And if Poseidon's son was there for comic relief, he was pretty incompetent, and pretty much a pointless character. As poor as this movie was, I would rather sit through this, than Act of Valor.
