The movie had a fair amount of action and mostly, of course, followed the character of Katniss Everdeen. It was also a surprisingly emotional film which included the scene when Katniss takes her young sister's place as tribute and when one fellow competitor dies. Lenny Kravitz and Woody Harrelson were great, but Jennifer Lawrence carries the film and she's well cast as Katniss despite the criticisms of some. A bleak future featuring a strong female character, good action scenes, good visual effects and art direction make this a must see film.
