I'm not giving it a 10/10 because it is a masterpiece, but because it is probably one of the coolest and most daring movies ever made. Paul Anderson has done a wonderful job with what he had. This movie was more based on the video game than the original Alien and Predator movies, but it does give you some references to the movies (mostly the Alien series, but also something in Predator 2) Yes, the movie was given a PG rating, but after seeing it I'm surprised it didn't get 14A here in Canada. I have little doubt that Anderson will want to release a full, uncut version of the film to put it back up the the 18A ratings or the Alien series and the hard R ratings or the Predator movies. Also, given the nature of Anderson's other films (Resident Evil, Event Horizon) the graphic nature was most likely cut out because of Fox's nature to want a crapload of money. Please don't go into this movie expecting all kinds of science and explanations, this is a PURE ACTION film. It's very cool and very enjoyable. Overall, this is definitely the best Predator movie and the second best Alien movie (Aliens is the best) If you like wicked-cool action, amazing special effects, the Alien and Predator movies, and medi-core acting, this is a must see film!
