I was expecting a romantic comedy---so it was quite an adjustment to a brutal portrayal of life in the Mumbai slums through the eyes of one kid. Yet, after thinking about over night--I thought: what a brilliant movie! It is a must see, despite the violence and brutality of the backdrop. The direction, the story--all of it are fantastic. Be prepared. It is not easy to watch at times, but it is worthwhile. It will be seared into your memory forever.
