Clint Eastwood's "J. Edgar" is a slow-moving, articulate, and often flawed biography of the first director of the FBI. Leonardo DiCaprio gives a stunning, evocative, and beautiful performance as Edgar, however, his performance can't quite get hold of the film's poor script or it's lack of character development and execution. Eastwood and DiCaprio make a fine pair of collaborators, but the film doesn't impress. If there was a bit more execution, Eastwood would've produced a much better biography. This features DiCaprio at his best, but "J. Edgar", itself, falls flat and clumsy.
