The problem I had with this movie was almost all of the funny parts were in the trailer, and it was awkward seeing Mark trying to do comedy, Will Ferrel definitely saved this from being a bomb. Could have been much much better.

So funny! It's like a spoof of Robocop or something!

Not a bad show. Had some laughs inbetween and overall satisfying.

Will Ferrel, you're funny I'll give you that much, but Mark Wahlberg, what's with the screaming huh? It was ridiculous. A mess from start to finish, and the only laughs came from Ferrel, which wasn't very often. Definitely dissapointing based on the fact I thought The Other Guys was going to be a true comedy. Man was this dreadful.

I saw previews for this film when it was coming to theatres, but they really don't do the movie justice. Luckily, some friends recommended it and I am glad they did. There are a lot of funny moments in this film, you have laughs throughout and often don't expect them. If you are on the fence about whether to watch it, I would easily recommend it.

There is a lot more to like in this movie than you might think from the trailer. It is VERY creative in its stupidity, surprisingly not predictable. Also it's not as dumb as many Will Ferrell movies. My wife even liked and that's saying a lot. However, the downside is that there are some slow periods and not all jokes will be appreciated.

Not bad. Made me laugh a few times. Didn't seem to drag. Not as funny as some of Ferrell's other movies but a pleasant diversion.

Haven't laughed this hard since Superbad (Hangover sucked!) Love all the lines in this one and still wipe my tears when thinking about scenes after the fact.

I haven't laughed like that in a long time. The whole theatre was cracking up. At one point, a guy couldn't stop laughing after a really funny scene (it took him about 5 min. To stop) No, the trailer doesn't give away all the funny moments. There are plenty. It is a satirical comedy about cop / action movies and there a lot of surprising and unexpected funny moments. Of course, some not so funny ones, but all in all, a really funny movie that I'd actually see again... when it comes out in DVD.

It is a brilliant movie with solid laughs the entire way! I loved it! Unfortunately, for some of the people who reviewed this movie poorly, you must have a Good sense of humor and brain to truly enjoy this movie. I've seen it twice in the theatre and will see it many times after! It's almost as perfect as anchorman. Oh Will, you're a genious.

Not Will Ferrells' finest work. Acutually he's been making stinkers for years so why would I be supprised at this one. Even Mark Whalberg looks like he's struggling with this one. Cameo's by big names can't even save this one. Plot is scattered. There isn't really a fluid development of the movie. There are one or two chuckles, but not enough to pull it out of the fire. Bottom line, I kept waiting for this one to end... and it just didnt seem to. If you need to kill an hour 47 with mindless brain candy, it might work. Save yourself the pain!

This movie is more than just people falling down and getting hurt, which some people find hilarious. It's a well written movie with a lot of inside jokes that you need to pay attention to, to understand. I noticed that when I went with more immature people, they didn't get the humor. So if you are into funny movies that are slap stick, guy falls down, crowd laughs, then this movie is not for you. If you like humor that needs a little life experience to understand, then I suggest you see this movie.

I like Will Ferrell but he is a bit hit and miss. This movie had its funny moments but overall was pretty weak. I think Will Ferrell is best when he does a smaller part like in Old School, he can't really carry a whole movie without it getting too ridiculous or boring. Wouldn't recommend. Not even DVD. Maybe in 6 years when you are at home watching cable at 2am and you can't be bothered finding the remote to change the channel then you should watch this movie.

Boo!!! Walked out 3/4 way through. Stupid and agrivating jokes that were pointless in most cases and in every case stopped any momentum the plot gained.

It was kind of false advertisement... the two main stars exited the movie after 15 minutes... come on!!! That was not fair!!!

Wow this movie was not good Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg do not make a good comedy team I did not like this movie. The jokes where not even funny and it seemed to drag on longer than it should, was not a fan!

The movie had a lot more potential than it actually delivered. Some of the scences were just to contrived and over the top. As a comedy it tried to hard and missed in most cases.

I was really looking forward to this movie and ended up finding it disapointing... There are some REALLy funny moments but then there are a LOT of long and boring or over the top moments... Wait to see it on video...

Interesting movie, I could understand why people would not like it, it's really, really strange, theres no real explination for most of the characters motives. Though the characters are very funny, and most of the jokes work with the story. At first I didn't know what to make of the movie. When the movie progressed I soon discovered that this movie was the kind of movie that you just went along with. No need to think about it, thinking about it may effect your ability to laugh. This movie does not take itself seriously. Recommend that you go and see it.

This was maybe the funniest movie I've ever seen. I am a huge Will Ferrel fan and I also enjoyed Mark Wahlberg's performance. This movie was the perfect combo of action and comedy. I also enjoyed the that Terry and allen were always going of topic at the worst possible time but in a good funny way.

If you are into raunchy jokes because the writer was too unimaginative to be clever, then you will love this movies. There were a few brief moments of good humor especially at the beginning, but it was rare. Too bad. With a good script Will Ferrell is great.

It was funny at times as you would expect from Will Ferrill, but as with most Hollywood movies these days it could have and should have been better.

What a waste time!!! No story line. Rock & Samuel Jackson jumped off the building and died 20 minutes through out the movie for NO good reason! I guess they were not paid enough. Overall avoid watching this movie at all cost unless you are stoned, things might make better sense.

Don't bother with this movie, left 30m in. Walberg should not be doing these types for comedies. Ferell was just as bad. Rent it if you want to watch a brainless movie the day after a hang over or something like that.

Perhaps my expectations were too high. I'm a big Will Ferrell fan and was really excited to see this new movie. I could not have been more disappointed. You could tell that certain parts were ad-libbed, because they weren't overly funny or well done. Mark Wahlberg was not funny in the movie at all, and it may have been his worst performance since 'Good Vibrations'. There were a few parts that make you chuckle, but that was about it. I would save the money and not see this in theatre.

Honestly, this movie was ok... good start but started to get worse throughout the movie. At times you can get pretty bored and just hope for it to be over. On the other hand there were funny jokes and scenes, but not really worth paying to watch.

Did not like this movie. Started off funny, then went downhill. Way to long for a comedy. Would not watch again if it was free on Shaw on demand.

So I'm not a fan of Will Ferrell so I was hesistant to see this. I thought it was going to be another one of his stupid silly movies. I was pleasantly surprised! He didn't annoy me at all. The movie itself was not laugh out loud funny for the entire time, but did have a LOT of funny little moments. Go see it!
