I'm a ridiculously big fan of the Alien movies and a pretty big fan of the Predator movies too. Even though this movie was 10 times better than the first AvP, it's still not a good movie overall. This movie should only be seen by the strongest of fans and even those will be disappointed. The film is simply trying to hard to be inventive (new ways for the Predator to fight, new look for an Alien hive, new ways for the Aliens to reproduce) when really, they should try to be inventive at all. The series (both of them) are plenty inventive enough on their own. The directors should not have messed with the series at all, in my opinion. Has anyone else read the comic book series of AvP? They didn't tweak at all with the stuff presented in previous movies, simply expanded on ideas, and the comic books are great! At the end of the day, this still works way better on every single level than the first AvP. I'm glad the series is improving and I hope we see more of them. Although I'm still holding out on another Aliens movie *fingers crossed* One other reviewer really said it all when he said," If your ONLY complaint about Alien vs. Predator is that it wasn't graphically violent enough, then you're going to love this movie." Absolutely true.
