Moose Jaw

I wish I could find room to put this into my top ten list of the year but I just can't. I really want to though. The movie is extremely well cast and Sean Penn has done a bang-up job making this character study piece based on a non-fiction book. It's still a 2.5 hour movie but I never noticed the length. Others watching the movie with me seemed to feel it was long but I swear I thought it was 90 minutes. It moves along very briskly. Overall I truly feel that this movie is a haunting and unforgettable experience which is a very rare thing for movies these days. Great performances from everyone, especially Hal Holbrook. That character was easily my favourite even considering how charming Kristen Stewart's character was.
