This was an amazing movie, full of subdued horror. In the silence of the lambs the action was focused on Clarice, but in this one, we are allowed into the mind of Lecter. And it is one scary place full of beauty and grotesqueness. For anyone who's read the book, the punchline is lost in the movie. Very different from the first, but still an instant classic. Great date flick!! :
