It was indeed quite a waste of my time really. It was done well but could have used a picker upper so to speak.

The movie never really explains if the new girl is really a vampire or not.

It was nice to see a film focused on predominantly girls at a boarding school. The girls' relationships and desires were handled well. The problem with the movie arrives with the introduction of the new girl, who is supposedly a vampire or a ghost--we're never directly sure just what she is. The story devolves into a debate on whether the main girl is "hysterical" or whether something really diabolical is going on. There's also a darker subtext on anorexia. If the film was better written/edited it could have had more depth. Scott Speedman's lone male teacher seemed to be thrown into the story without much to do--a wasted character. In the end, this was a hollow offering.

This movie had some curiosity in the boarding school. Many of the students found this Rebecca had some strange ideas and they were checking out at night to see what she was up to and noticced bizarre moments were happening. Later on Rebecca had some hatred to certain students which caused a lot of deaths in the school. I think the ending should have more towards what would happen to her and find out what the mother was saying. Obviously we would imagine her going to jail after the police station and hoping it would have been ended it having that she was guilty and had to go to jail.

I'm glad I didn't pay, I saw the avant premiere; it was so so. Nothing new, have seen lots of stories like this. It says horror, but it's not scary at all. I don't think it will stay long in movie theatres.
