This is the worst comic book movie I have ever seen not one part in this movie was interesting, the fight scenes sucked, the characters were lame and the acting was just horrible.

Really cool effects and the fight scenes are good but the story lacks flow, the begining is very slow going.

All the movie I was like WT?!! So many unexplained things. They forgot that they must convey the damn plot before getting into the action. Yeah, the battle scenes are cool, but I still don't know why that guy was chased by the hand! And I mean... terrible ending... What happened to the HAND? Did the big boss strike again or not? It's not finished... I was dissapointed...

Really cool show and Lots of cool fight scenes. Awesome show it's a must see.

A really crappy movie. Expected so much more from it. I think it might have been worse than Daredevil, and I did not think there was ANYTHING worse than that movie. But I was wrong. Heck, this movie will make you LOVE Daredevil by a MILE. Being a Marvel fan since I was little, I cannot imagine why the legendary Stan Lee and Avi Arad would have helped(or would WANT to help, for that matter) produce this disgusting movie. I cannot believe I wasted my 1$ on this crap. I could have bought chocolate instead.

I thought it would have been a lot better, but I can't really judge because I don't know Elektras character in marvel anyways. Its one of those cool fighting/special effects movies where u watch just because in the trailer it looked pretty good..

Elkektra is the best movie eva, I dont think it would have been as good if it didnt have Jennifer Garner!!!

I have to agree with some critics they could have pushed it more and have a better movie with less loose ends but I have to say that most of them was explained in the movie and for those of you who did'nt like the movie or did'nt understand it it's because you were'nt paying attention!
| 7/10 | tournesol_pooh@ - 7 reviews 9.2.2005 - age: 26-35 |
The trailer for this movie was really good, but the movie dissapointed me. The storyline was poor, the action scenes were ok, but could have been done better. Do urself a favor, save your money and rent it when it comes out on dvd.

One of the worst movie of all time, I burst out of laughter because the movie was so dumb. The whole movie could've been muted and I would've understood more. If you watched the movie, the director just [...] walked away with your money. Essentially, Elektra could never die, she gets killed and then revived and all of a sudden, she can revive people. Very funny movie, if you enojoy that kind of humor.
| 1/10 | aryoung45@ - 14 reviews 1.2.2005 - age: 18-25 |
I loved it and I usually don't like action movies!
| 10/10 | runescape_garth2250@ - 7 reviews 30.1.2005 - age: 13-17 |
Why is it that when so many people see a new movie, it's automatically the best the world? I wish I could leave a theatre with that feeling every time. I wouldn't have been so disappointed in wasting my 5 bucks on this piece. Man, I thought Blade 3 was bad, this thing takes the cake! At least in Blade you get to see a washup actor spitting out cheesy one liners. But this, wow! What ever happened to good script writing? Good acting? Nice esthetics? Aren't they supposed to be the ingredients of a good film? Elektra had none of them. I wish I understood why this stuff even gets produced. Do NOT go see this, unless you're a fan of garbage movies.

Electra [...] I really like Jennifer Garner... both in Alias and 13 going on 30, but in [...] this film... It's more of a Walt Disney, girl power flic than a Marvel comics outing... weak on action and acting all around... and the story, well, it didn't keep me interested. JG's character was better in Daredevil. [...]

| 1/10 | deela4reel@ - 2 reviews 23.1.2005 - age: 18-25 |
This movie was a total disappointment. I saw the previous and thought it would be a pretty descent movie but it was just as bad, if not worse, as Daredevil. Jennifer Garner had bad acting thoughout the entire movie and seriously needed a new hairstyle, she has to lose the bangs. The only cool part about this entire movie were the evil guys, Tattoo being my favourite. Otherwise, I wouldn't suggest seeing this movie, it sux!

As a martial artist, I liked the movie. I prefered it to Hero. The length of the fight seen are long enough and is not too exagerated like some others... If you like martial arts and weapons fighting you will like this movie.
| 9/10 | wmuller@ - 2 reviews 22.1.2005 - age: 36-49 |

| 10/10 | lilangel_girl76@ - 4 reviews 21.1.2005 - age: 13-17 |
Just the right mix between a superhero and a Hong Kong action movie. The only problem lies in the fact that the writers have not realized yet that superhero and sci-fi fans hate the cute kid side-kicks.
| 7/10 | kirkloubert@ - 10 reviews 21.1.2005 - age: 26-35 |
Weird pace to the movie. A lot of slow parts followed by action then back to slow. No middle ground. No humour or character to the movie. They did a good job of getting the dark feel to Elektras character. A lot of little things were done wrong that take away from some of the good things in the movie. The movie left my wife and I wondering if we even liked it or not. The suit was not nearly as HOT looking as the hype. Catwomans suit was WAY hotter(other than the dumb mask)

I wish I had the wisdom not to have gone to this movie. The acting was weak, the story was lame, and what was Jennifer Garner trying to pull with those feathered bangs? The best parts are in the preview, I could have just seen that and been equally as satisfied, or in this case disatisfied. I did think the motley group of circus freaks/bad guys were kinda cool, but on the whole this movie is trash.

Elektra I'm sure will be one of the worst movies of the year! The story didnt make any sense, basically there was no story! It was totally pointless & dont understand what's the link with Elektra's story in Daredevill, she wanted revenge for the death of her dad but suddently now it's about her mom with no explanations has of why they killed her at first!!! Total disapointment, if u do rent it make sure u split the rental fees with at least 3 other peoples!!!
| 1/10 | sexy_ad@ - first review 19.1.2005 - age: 26-35 |
Story was weak. Acting/believability of characters could have been better. The only thing that saves this movie is the special effects. Too many cliches as well. If you really want to see it, wait for the rental.
| 5/10 | vbartekian@ - 11 reviews 19.1.2005 - age: 26-35 |
I have heard a lot of people trash it, but I thought it was pretty good. The action was OK, I thought the story unfolded well (despite some holes) and I thought Garner did a good job portraying Elektra. There was virtually no connection with Daredevil, so if you had not seen it, you would have no problem following this movie.
| 7/10 | qball35@ - 2 reviews 19.1.2005 - age: 26-35 |
Awesome movie. Jennifer kicks butt and makes this another MARVEL must see movie. This is nothing like the crap you saw in cat woman and you will not be dissapointed. Elektra has awesome fight scenes and if you didn't like DareDevil don't worry because this movie is totally separate in style.
| 10/10 | x8_x8@ - first review 19.1.2005 - age: 18-25 |
This movie was good because well... she's friggin hot but that's pretty much it, fight scenes are ok, martial arts involved are good, but some characters are pretty useless and the storyline could've been better... good movie to rent but don't waste money to see it in theaters;)
| 6/10 | davidos_01@ - 7 reviews 18.1.2005 - age: 18-25 |
Action movie gone wrong, sadly I did not enjoy this movie one bit, it's a shame cause in the preview it look very good. Fight scenes are horrible and to say that I hated blade 3.

Well it seems Hollywood is running out of good ideas for movies, the story was lame and Jennifer Gardiner should stick to Alias... I actually felt like I was looking at Alias at times. And please the red outfit all the hype they were saying about it well they must have been on drugs... In the comics it was way more sexier than that.

I soo much wanted this to be a good movie. Except Garner there is nothing much to watch in the movie. Even the visuals are kinda lame. They could have done sooo much better with the right storyline and direction. What a waste.

Loved Elektra but there should of been more action. We would of liked to of seen more of elektra's warrior training. The bad guys were not bad but should of been a bit more of a challenge...

If you are a Jennifer Garner fan, you will like this movie. Go see it. Otherwise, rent it when you're bored. The storyline was weak and predictable in many spots, they overkilled the slow motion factor so much that it was corny, and the acting was mediocre at best (sorry, I'm not a die-hard fan of Jennifer Garner), although I have seen worse! The bad guys were lame and the dialogue definitely left something to be desired. I will say that there are some pretty good fighting scenes, and I respect the fact that JG does her own action bits. You also get a few good laughs out of it. Anyway, Daredevil was a dead bomb; this movie delivers a bit better overall, but lacks anything remotely close for which to be deemed a worthy film.
| 5/10 | pegasus_flyer@ - 13 reviews 17.1.2005 - age: 26-35 |
This movie was horrible, they didnt explain anything in it, where do the demon come from, why are they trying to kill that young girl etc etc. The action was horrible too, I bought cat women on dvd the same day, I was afraid that this movie would have been so bad but I found it to be much better then electra. This movie could have been so much better its really sad.

After seeing the Elektra character in the crappy Daredevil, I was a bit skeptical about seeing this movie. But I made the right choice in seeing it. Elektra is a fast-paced action-packed movie wonder. I wouldn't exactly put it in the category of super-hero, because is follows more along the lines of amazing Asian-cinema such as Hero and Musa, with the supernatural driven stroyline that keeps you wondering throughout the entire film. The acting in the film is on par with films such as X-Men and Hellboy (superb to say the least) and Jennifer Garner plays a very much more realistic Elektra than she did in Daredevil. Another reason to see it is that there is no Ben Affleck, Jude Law, or Leonardo DiCarpio to take away the electrifying performances of the unknown (yet terrific) or lesser known cast; including Cary Horiko-Takagawa (sp? )(Mortal Kombat) and Terence Stamp (Star Wars Episode I) All in all a really entertaining film that I would love to see again on the big screen. 9/10.

A good movie about redemption, about how simple physical force is nothing without inner spirit. A good life lesson. And yes, Jennifer is hot.
| 7/10 | craigalf@ - 26 reviews 16.1.2005 - age: 36-49 |
I really was disapointed Marvel always make great movies but this one was not good at all. The enemies that look super strong die easisly. The only reason why I did not sleep because of Jennifer Garner damn she is hot.
| 5/10 | mikeal_x@ - 2 reviews 15.1.2005 - age: 13-17 |
I really hate giving such a low rating because of my love for Jennifer. She is the only reason I didn't give it a 2. I just didn't buy it, nothing seemed to make sense. I think it is something to watch if someone else pays the money to rent it.

Elektra was a solid action movie. Great action scenes, decent story. Held attention of my girlfriend who doesn't usually care for this type of movie. Garner definitely fills out the Elektra character well.

Probably the worst movie I have seen in this short year. Avoid at all costs and go rent Xmen/Hulk/Hellboy/Daredevil or whatever because this is the worst film so far of the recent comic book craze. Thats right, its even worse than Punisher.
