Best series I've watched to date with the exception of the Band of Brothers mini series. Not good if you're squeamish about watching serial killers get their jollies, however, brilliantly written seasons, each with multiple things going on, as well as one long main storyline for each season, and at least one super killer for Dexter to deal with. Every season is fantastic, and though to start the first season, a couple of actors, or characters seemed kind of week, I've found many friends that have followed the series weren't as put off by that. Even in my opinion those that survived to go onto next seasons have improved certainly. Hard to say whether that was because of how they were written or acted for the most part. However, Dexter is a fascinating character to follow. Though I couldn't imagine a serial killer protagonist going in, within a couple of episodes I found myself strangely drawn into his character, and liking him pretty darned much by the time I was halfway into that first season.
