WARNING: This is not a sci-fi movie. I walked out of the theatre beside some very disgruntled time-travel fans. However, I very much enjoyed it! It was quirky, fun, and light; I'd say it was Sundance-worthy. No big-name actors or fancy effects, but it was excellently acted, and very funny. I liked how the subplots (the "comic relief" characters) mirrored the main story.

Rating applies to those who like little unassuming quirky movies and do not care about headline actors, I enjoyed it more than I expected. It was certainly worth the money, my friend and I agreed.

Aside from a wee bit of tiresome racist and homophobic humour at the beginning, which is in line with the character's personality, this is a lighthearted comedy that is somewhat predictable. It's a fantasy/comedy and the film makers and actors pull off the film in spite of an obvious low budget. There's no big names or big effects - but that's okay. There's decent talent who deliver decent performances. There's also some above average writing (aside from my gripe above) There's also some cornball moments that almost make you smile because they feel so... well, cornball. This is a good family flick, date flick or just a good flick to kill a couple of hours with. Lighthearted laughs with... sort of a... mystery... in the middle of the plot. Yup - that's what you get! I really enjoyed this film! It may not be a sleeper hit... but it's a decent shot at being one. Perhaps we should create the term 'sleeper very entertaining film' category for this one!

I liked this movie, it was different, not the usual Hollywood formula dialogue and ending. Word of warning, it can be a tad slow in parts but that is for character development. I liked the adventures of the two other reporters in the movie providing comic relief.

Good characters in a funny and very interesting movie from start to finish. I enjoyed it.

There is nothing special about this movie. I don't understand how this movie got rated so highly. The screenplay is bad and many of the scenes do not add up. The time machine doodads are clearly not connected to anything. Don't waste your money. It is not worth it!

A quirky but cute movie that is well acted, has bits of humor, and has characters with depth. The 2 leads (Duplass and Plaza) are excellent in their roles. Duplass takes an odd character and plays it perfectly (not overplaying or underplaying it) I also liked the ending which seemed just right while proving nothing. A very enjoyable movie to watch.

Funny, charming, and superbly acted. The story is nothing very new but still manages to surprise. Aubrey Plaza is wonderful as always, and Mark Duplass expertly plays a complicated character in such a way as to make all the twists and turns of his story seem perfectly sensible.

The write up makes one think it is a fiction movie. Although there is an aspect of that it is mainly a love story, a human story and an adventure. I loved the movie and especially Aubrey Plaza. She is like a female Johnny Depp and I have yet to be disappointed with her. If you want to be entertained you will not do better than this movie.

Quite a superb surprise for me. An adventure of emotions of what will be like to time travel. Strong cast, characters and story made it worthwhile. Go see it! :-):-):-):-):-)

Very different as to what I was expecting. It was a nice story about people discovering themselves. I liked but didn't like the ending.

Well, the one positive thing about this movie is that if did keep my interest throughout all the film but this may have been because I wanted to see how in my opinion, this awkward script would end. I found no chemistry between the two supposedly falling for each other people, Mark Duplass and Aubrey Plaza and found their roles depressive and never really uplifting, joyous or even simply happy. I found the script kind of silly and lacking in depth... Not my cup of cappuccino.

This was a cute little comedy which definitely had some heart. The acting was pretty good and I found the characters believable. However, it was kinda corny... and the ending REALLY blew it for me... although part of me liked it and part of me was like "WHaaattt? " that was NOT realistic and did NOT fit with the rest of the film. But hey to each his own. I would recommend this but DEFINITELY NOT SEE IN THEATRES... waste of the big screen dollars... but for sure a renter... fun, easy to watch, feel good film.

What a delightful film! Well drawn characters and an original story that leaves you with a lot to think about but doesn't take itself too seriously.

It was a great movie. The actors are great, a lot of humor. It was very unexpected. At the end of the movie, when the credits rolled, no one in the theater seemed to want to leave right away. No one rushed to the exit like you normally see. It seemed like everyone had to really absorb the movie, and I think that that is such a good sing that this was a great movie.

Movie had great flow and storyline. I was surprised by the ending, but I presume it was done that way to have a sequel to follow up the time travel and return.

Really enjoyable movie. My wife and I found it really good. I see the analogy of the title in real life... safety can only be guaranteed if you don't take risks in life... but we only live once, so sometimes it's worth to take the risks and love what life gives us. Worth seeing the movie for the intangible messages you perceive that weren't obviously blatant.

Well it's quite an interesting movie that's for sure. A brilliant, although slightly awkward, scientist building a time machine, a quirky and exuberant magazine reporter, a cute girl and a quintessential nerd all come together in this movie. The ending is undoubtedly the highlight of this movie but it's a little short gem of a movie that's light, doesn't take itself too seriously and is somewhat entertaining throughout.

What a pleasant surprise! This movie is a gem situated amongst the current summer toads. It is smart, funny, and real. At times almost raw in its reality. Clearly a flick that champions those who are bright yet socially challenged. Dry humour is tastefully sprinkled throughout this cute film. Aubrey Plaza anchors the movie nicely, and like her last name, this girl is going places. Mark my words, her vibe will get her much future work. I highly recommend this cinematic delight. A breath of fresh air compared to the smoggy Hollywood franchise machines.
