I was curious to see how well this movie would rate against Manhunter (which I enjoyed quite a bit) I found Red Dragon to be faster-paced and also the acting was better. I liked the acting in Manhunter but thought the 3 main characters in this movie were played superbly by Anthony Hopkins, Ed Norton, and Ralph Fiennes. Unlike some other opinions in here, I thought Ed Norton really did a fine job as Graham. Very much like the book, this movie is similar to Silence of the Lambs (a good thing) and helps one to forget Hannibal (also a good thing)
