I love James Bond, but I miss Pierce Brosnan, and I miss the Humor in the Bond movies, since Daniel Craig played this role, the sense of humor which was in all James Bond movies and which Brosnan was very good at it disappears, and the Bond movies is like any other action movie, it lost its special character.. James Bond.

This movie was terrible. It should have been entitled James Bond versus the neurotic hairstylist. Where did they get the idea for this villain? He looked and acted ridiculous. Certainly not a worthy descendant of the Bond movie evil of previous films. The plot was weak as well. I guess when they elected to make their last stand in the abandoned childhood home they "forgot" to bring any weapons. Am I expected to believe that two MI6 agents don't have a few guns squirreled away for a rainy day? Shameful, looked like an episode of MacGyver in the end. Look away, look away.

I love James Bonds and although I am saddened of M's death... I enjoyed the fact that the character was female...

A real middle-of-the-road movie experience. Wanted to see it for a couple of reasons. One, I've seen every film in the series and two, heard it was so good. This film was a departure in part from the others. In a way it was fresh yet it came across as trying too hard to break from the suave mainstream. You could label this as the hipster Bond movie. Could have easily inserted PBR for Heineken and sadly no fedora was ever worn. I rate this movie a meh.

Brilliant movie. Loved the plot, actors, scenery and twists. Only thing that could have made it better, was if the " Bond girl" had a bigger part.

For an action movie - this one was quite artistic - in regards to the cinematography, sounds and images. What to expect from this movie? A good story line, handsome Bond played by Daniel Craig, lots of actions and great artistic transitions between scenes.

I am not a big Bond fan but I had heard this one was fun so I thought I would check it out and I'm glad I did. Good old fashioned suspenseful thriller. Javier Bardem was great as the bad guy and all the others big names were equally good. Definitely worth seeing!!

An excellent film, truly worthy of the body of work created by Ian Fleming. Those whose consider this film 'boring' have clearly not the intellect to actually read the books; if they had read the James Bond books, they would realize how much this film is true to the spirit established by this author. The dark, gritty world of the espionage agent is reflected very well here in a plot that twists and turns as much as a politician. I was particularly impressed with Q (apart from his unbelievably stupid mistake that enabled the villain to infiltrate HQ) A true representation of the 'Cold War' atmosphere of the early novels.

This movie was terrible. The plot made no sense, but not in a fun action packed way. Way too long, and nothing really happened, except they tried to shoot the bad guys and failed about a million times. James Bond was alternately either robotic or neurotic, none of the women were interesting, the villain was kind of pathetic, and apparently magic, because he would have to be to pull off any of the "brilliant" schemes he allegedly did. No great wit, no humor, no great action, even no real sexy scenes. Very, very bad.

Long, boring, & dubious plot even for a Bond film. Scarce offerings of action, sex, & humour... how is this a Bond movie? Pretty disappointing.

Entertaining in a James Bondy kind of way. Worth seeing. Lots of action, tension, and twists.

Must see for the Bond fan! Daniel Craig breathes new life into this classic franchise. Breathtaking cinematography and fantastic action makes this a great ride.

I thought this movie was great. It had action, humor, wit. Some parts it didn't seem like very much was happening, but still overall enjoyed watching it.

Nice addition to the franchise and a nice celebration of 50 years of Bond. It's a bit of a slow burn and striped down, so don't expect it to be action packed all the way through. Nice humanizing of Bond.

Without a doubt this was a discrase to the Bond movies! Being a fan of 007, I cannot understand how it managed to obtain an average of 7.7?!? The plot was poor, simply boring, just a bunch of special effects. The charisma and finesse of the 007 character that once was held by Sean Connery has vanished, leaving behind a soulless sad and forgettable role. Seriously this movie had no soul, no magic, no charm, no great lines, nothing to remember. I miss those good old movies.

I really like the special effects during the cat and mouse parts. In addition to the storyline I also like the fight and guns scenes. At least you won't see camera shakes. Great action movie. Worth checking it out.

Don't let the purists and double o negatives fool you - this is a great Bond film and ranks up there with the best of them! Pure escapism which makes one leave the movie with a secret swagger and an urge to introduce yourself - last name first!

Worth it for bond fans. I find comments that this is the best, or the worst, Bond ever to be bizarre. Ever heard of From Russia With Love? Goldfinger? Live and Let Die? Is Skyfall better? Nonsense. How about Octopussy, Goldeneye,  Living Daylights -- Is it worse than those?  come on.  Let's keep it in perspective: Skyfall is okay but a must see for Bond fans.  How many negative reviews came from non fans who missed the numerous Bond references? I not sure why critics called this the best Bond yet. It is far from it. Javier Bardem is phenomenal as a Bond villain but aside from that it was an ok movie. It felt like they weren't sure what the storyline should be about.

Daniel Craig has secured his position as the perfect Bond. A Perfect Spy as John Le Carré would say. Not one dull moment and what's not to admire about a director who added the missing "Modigliani" painting in the scene in Shanghai. A completely wonderful movie! I await Bond # 24 already!

Boring, ultra-long without necessity. Bond rips on Home Alone. Totally lame. Attend only if you need a nap.
| 3/10 | nothanks@ - first review 18.1.2013 - age: 36-49 |
Dynamic cinematography in the final battle scene, though the rising actions were less technical. There is little creative effort in spy gadgets, same said for the script.

Never before has "Bond" been so realistically portrayed. Albeit the stunts are the climatic, impossible death-defying acts which we have come to expect from blockbuster films, but the man himself is finally challenged by a worthy enemy. Far from the ridiculous "master mind" who leaves James with an easy escape route, Raoul Silver (Javier Bardem) takes the fight straight to MI6 and the streets of London. Credit must also be given to the variety of environment in which the battles take place (note there are multiple instead of just one - an icon of Bond films which puts them above all else) Daniel Craig is, in my opinion, the best Bond yet and has reignited my interest in the entire series. Please I hope you take the time to check-out this film, especially if you're NOT a Bond fan already.

"Skyfall" works as an action film and as a "James Bond" film but unless you're familiar with the franchise, you might want to check out some of the other titles before you rush to see this one because if you don't you'll feel like you're missing out on the numerous references. Daniel Craig and Judi Dench return in their roles and do a good job as usual and the increased focus on the two character's relationship helps create more tension in the film (you don't after all, expect "James Bond" to die in the film, not really) and with a decent villain, some really excellent chase scenes and some good additions to the cast, it's a lot of fun. There are a couple of moments when the antagonist's plan seems to fall together a bit too conveniently and during the middle there aren't any grand action set pieces to prevent it from sagging, but the opening and the conclusion are strong. Let's not forget the excellent title sequence, which is one of the franchise's best and more than a few moments that will keep you guessing (some important characters are only introduced later in the film while others that seem important are killed halfway through) If you're a fan of "Bond" you'll really be pleased with the mix of callbacks to older films and a continuation of the more serious, gritty picture but this isn't really a good way to introduce yourself to the character though you'll still be entertained by all of the action.

Dull; no memorable action sequences and nothing much was at stake to make me want the good guys to win. Too many "why would they do that? " situations for both the villains and good guys. I'm sure there are are much better Bond films.

Fifty years of Bond James Bond, movies starting off with the iconic Sean Connery as the sexy gadget laden secret agent leading up to Daniel Craig as the no nonesense butt kicking, badass secret agent of all time. Recently in an interview Craig said that he works out for 3 hours everyday in order to do a lot of the very physically demanding stunts in the James Bond movies. At 44 he says he will do as many films as he can in the franchise as long as he can keep up with his gruelling workouts. Skyfall is one of the best movies in this long franchise. You have to wonder who comes up with the fantastic stunts that are a trademark of these films because with each successive film the stunts are more fantastic than the last. Daniel Craig is a very good actor as are most of the supporting cast. Javier Bardem is one of the most memorable villains and plays the part as only a superb actor like Bardem can. An action packed thrill ride from start to finish.

The movie I'm going to talk about is Skyfall. In this new James Bond, the secret agent has to find an old enemy because he is in possession of a list that content informations on the secret organization. This wonderful movie action has incredible effects; the explosions and the battles are very realistic. This film is different that the other James Bond, it is talking a lot about the origins of the character so I found it interesting and I became more attached to him. It's impossible to be bored when you watch this movie because it is full of surprises and suspense. I was fascinated during the whole representation. All the actors played very well so it made the movie better. I recommend this film tho the people who like action and suspense.
