Halifax

I'll start by saying this is a movie for the FANS! I've read the books, I loved the first movie and I definitely loved this one. It was better than Twilight, I felt like there was more going on because there was another character involved (Jacob, for the most part) Elsewhere, critics have rated this movie poorly and I can understand why, it's because there doesn't seem to be much of a story line and the vampires and werewolves don't deliver some action you'd expect. This is overall a teenage love story, it is not so much an action, fantasy or sci-fi flick which is why the special effects aren't great. I do hope with the money generated from the huge fan base that they can invest in their effects and coaching for the actors. Some parts are so sickenly sweet that it renders the scenes comical and cheesy. Some things are awkward, some are over the top (all the shirtless scenes!) but I did not get bored when I watched this movie. I was amused and enlighted and I loved watching Bella forming a potential new love interest. The movie is not fast paced and I'm glad because we are only half way through the installment of this book/movie series. The target audience is for teenagers and fans of the books, which I am, so don't be suprised if this isn't your thing. TEAM Edward all the way!
