I am not normally a huge horror fan. Movies like Hostel I simply cannot view. But Sam Raimi is in a very different league and he understands how to entertain without making nihilist commentary about human existence, unlike most other makers of horror. Is this a great cult classic to rival Evil Dead? No. Is it a darn good Sam Raimi movie, worth of his efforts? Yes.
