This is something of a fantasy of how impoverished people live, with a surprising lack of heart and a script that continually makes itself over-clear -- a bad move when there is nothing to say. The lawlessness could have been pursued so beautifully here, but even generic cowboy-westerns do it better. The realism was compromised by unrealistic episodes and inconsistencies; the rival meth gangs were murderous only as far as it suited the screenwriter, for example.
