Cinematic history defined by a unique cast chemistry and a stellar script. The adventure is so engaging it's surreal. A young man uncovering his future is bombarded with a universe of responsibility. The sexual edge is unnecessary though it's grateful for the class of those who are entertained by such lust. A favorable father and his only child are the center piece to a robot war which concludes with humor and suspense. I was amazed with this film in so many ways.

A great retelling of the classic cartoons. This is the perfect movie for Michael Bay to direct as this movie was immensely dependant on the CGI and he nailed it.

The first hour was fine, a little cheesy, but it was funny and entertaining for a little while. Once the last hour and a half went by. It was straight out cheese, and machines flying everywhere. The final action scene went on and on and on and on and on... I never thought an action sequence could make me fall asleep. Overall, the beginning was decent, but the rest was what Michael Bay is used to making: cheese and machines grinded in a blender. Egh!!

The good news is, Transformers is sort of fun to follow, but the fun dies off when Sector 7 gets involved. The bad news is, Transformers goes in a direction where greatness is impossible to reach for any filmmaker. Michael Bay throws in an hour of action which, to be honest, gets very tiring. I never thought big intense action could be boring. Michael Bay overloads the action to the point that the film explodes with nothing but rubble. Transformers is a piece of rubble, and it's absolutely horribly cheesy. The first hour was decent, but the last 1 hour 30 minutes was dreadful. One of the worst.

This movie was awesome. The way this movie was written was perfect and it had all the right actors. The special effects were stunning. And it even had a good story of good vs evil. Over all great movie I will be buying this one as soon as it comes out.

I rate Transformers 6.5. First half was good then it went off to all its action and showing off it's special effects. If you only care about the action in movies then this is for you. I'll admit it had good special effects, but the storyline could've continued. If your like me, then it's worth giving a try.

The first half of this movie was pretty good, then the story left and the battle started and it lost me. In my opinion the whole second half was about a 3 out of 10, so the only reason I give this a 6 is because of the good first half. Still, I'd say it's worth a watch.

Amazing special effects, interesting story and very well acted. This movie is very good, but it won't appeal to everyone. It has the right blend of robots and human situations. I would recommend it. My 12 and 10 year old girls didn't like it at all. If you don't like science fiction or giant robots fighting, this movie may not be for you.

Transformers is Transformers. And Transformers is meant to be cheezy. And the movie is cheezy, in terms of it's script and direction. Which to me, for some people, is the dissapointing part of the movie. Some people expected an epic and breathtaking movie that would be cool to see how they execute it. I went in with that expectation and I hated the movie. But after seeing it the second time, you have learn to like it. It is the hottest summer movie. It has humor, tons of action, and not any subplots to make the movie drag at any point. It is solid and "cheezily" epic. Although, most of the special effects at times are very hard to follow and overdone. At least the effort is there. Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg do a good job at producing a film that sets up a series to come.

Wow about time this came to be a live-action movie sure the animated Transformers movie was good but this is 10 times better by far. Shia LaBeouf was hilarious in his role and well Megan Fox was sexy and a welcome character to this movie. The robots themselves are as well constructed as the action scenes involving them Jon Voight I really didn't expect to see him in this but he was cool as the secretary of defense for the US a must see fantastic if not magnificent.

Not really classifiable as SF in my opinion, and not a good movie either. Aimed at the young to younger teen audiences it only serves to promote the idea that problems are solved by violence. Very disappointing calculated stab at the pocket books of parents also as a slew of merchandise followed in the wake of this movie. Film as toy products and happy meals is nowhere in terms of a movies long term viability. Unusualy hard to watch also, as the images of the transformers are very dense and unpleasant to see. Probably gave a whole bunch of parents and kids migraines and nightmares also. This isnt really suitable for the younger audience it targets. All in all, crap filmmaking.

I might be overrating this, but I though it was perfect fun. It had hysterical humor, which was the film's greatest surprise. It had thrilling action, and way cool effects. The acting was great from all, especially from Shia Labeouf. I don't know why people don't like him? But this movie, which has several flaws, one that it mainly has a script full-of-cheese. The other which is if you don't pay attention, you will be bored for-sure. But this is worth it. It's not kiddie, it's the summer's very best so far.

Transformers is like the best roller coaster; thoroughly enjoyable from beginning to end. A near perfect summer movie. But, seriously, don't expect much going in. This isn't a oscar-winning masterpiece, why would it be? It's just a movie, in fact it's a movie about transforming robots from space that battle each other while trying to save earth and it's inhabitants. It has everything you want in a summer blockbuster; action, comedy, thrills, and a great sense of urgency and adventure. A wonderful treat you can enjoy again and again. Don't miss it!

I know that some people are going crazy over Transformers but it is not that great a movie. In fact, the beginning is really good but as the movie goes along, special effects start to take all the place. So, the bottom line is, if you like a lot of special effects, go see that movie, but if you are looking for a well structured plot, go see something else.
