I absolutely love this movie not only because it has alot of suspense... I thought that the ending was great and it shows not to let people talk you in to things and that it shows how jealousy can go a very long way... Plus I L. O. V. E Andrew Keegan I think he is the most sexiest actor in the movie!!! And for those who don't know who he is he played Michael, Julia Stiles best friend in the movie...

I saw the Movie "O" a little while after it came out, and I found it incredible. The young actors that were cast to play those roles were perfect. Mekhi Phifer is riviting as he plays the role of Odin James who is the only black student in the school, who is also the star basketball player on his high school team. The story is a modern reinactment of the Original play Othello by Shakespeare. Julia Stiles is marvelous as she plays the role of Desi, Odin's girlfriend. Josh Hartnett and others make this movie the on the edge of your seats thriller that it is. If I were to go into great detail about the movie, I would just spoil it for those who haven't seen it, and seeing as how it is obviously not playing in theaters any longer, I would definitely recommend that U go and see it. It's full of everything you would be looking for in a modern Shakespearean movie.

I just loved this movie. It was very suspensful, with a great twist at the end. Definitely the best take on a Shakespere play. Plus Mikhi si so sexy.

I couldn't wait for this movie to come out, I was so... exited because it is a Josh movie and I like Julia Stiles. I hated this movie it had to be one of the worst I have ever seen. I was very upset with the actors, I thought Josh and Julia sucked. I don't recommend this movie to anyone.

I really loved the movie, I never read the play Othello but know after watching the movie I read it and I guess it was a great re-make into modern days!!! Go see it.

Very bad movie, ending is ok. Story is ridiculous, very hollywood like. Feeling generous by giving it a 4.

It was an amazing movie that I have seen all year my advise go and see O..

I just watched it--thankfully at home because it was horrible. The only people who think it is good are the sixteen year olds who drool over Josh Hartnett. The acting was horrible thanks to Julia Stiles. How can this be a good adaptation to Shakespeare? The poor man is probably rolling over in his grave right now. Anyone who has read Othello has to understand that this is the most pathetic modernization of this play I have ever seen.

O? O my god, I'm glad that's over. Love Shakespeare, but the whole basketball star thing was lame-O. Some good direction though.

O was the BEST movie I have ever seen!!! Josh Hartnett was sooooo hot and did such a good job acting sneaky and conniving!! The entire story had real meaning and it was disturbing in a good way!! I can't wait to see it again!!

I found this movie awesome... But if your not into the bloody gun-type movies that this is difinetly not the movie for you. But in all it's a good movie... If you've read Shakepeare's Othello... It's based on that play.

Definatly a must-see for my age group. An Amazing movie!! Wow. You have to see it!! Great acting, lots of suspense, so much fun! A bit nasty in one part, though... You'll know what I mean when you see it!!

It was a good movie, but it's too bad that *Josh Hartnett* had to play tha bad guy. He did a good job though, and I really liked the movie. It ended so sad that I cried, and for a movie to make me cry, it HAS to be good! The last time I cried for a movie is in Titanic! #1 Movie, go see it if you haven't already!

| 10/10 | nellyisahotty4sure@ - first review 26.9.2001 - age: 13-17 |
I went to this movie thinking it might have SOME artistic merit given that it was based on Shakespeare's Othello. I was quite disappointed. The acting is horrible, cheesy and an insult to Shakespeare. The relationship between Desi and O is so forced, it is hard to believe they even liked each other.
| 3/10 | karnick.p@ - 3 reviews 25.9.2001 - age: 26-35 |
Mix a Shakespeare tragedy whit a teen twist... You have O! Young whithout the eternal happy ending!
| 7/10 | billenoir@ - 8 reviews 25.9.2001 - age: 26-35 |
Very sad to see how many very uncultured people there is on this planet... And don't mention my typos, it's got nothing to do with it!! This movie IS a masterpiece. Ok... They have reinvented the wheel, but it's, after all Shakespeare's "Othello". Has there ever been better version of it. Different ones for sure, but the way this one was made it very good too. To avoid if you feel like seeing a happy-ending stroy (again, this is Sharespere we're talking about). Enjoy!

This movie was so, so, so very....... terrible it blows and is not worth your $12.50. It was the worst movie I have ever seen and if there was anything like a negative rating I would give it a -562. It really is not worth your money go see something else.
| 1/10 | c_t75@ - first review 21.9.2001 - age: 13-17 |
The writer of the script really doesn't have any talent at all except for the metaphor he uses at the end. This movie was terribly boring and there were no justifications for the actions of the characters.
| 6/10 | arsenic_girl@ - 4 reviews 21.9.2001 - age: 18-25 |
Most movies have some sort of moral to the story that the creators try to depart on the viewers. I couldn't find one in this movie, and I left feeling disappointed and confused about the outcome of the story. Save your money. This movie is definitely meant to be a rental.
| 3/10 | amanda@ - first review 16.9.2001 - age: 26-35 |
This movie was amazing... It was a twist of fate or very ironic... Whichever you prefer... It is definitely worth seeing... It just shows how down right evil some people can be and the extent of jealousy...
| 9/10 | wildcard44@ - 10 reviews 16.9.2001 - age: 18-25 |
Josh Hartnett is amazing. Not only is he good looking, but hes a really great actor. The movie was pretty good but the end was not developped very well. I would give it a 7 on 10, but Julia Stile's performance makes me give it a 5 on 10. Lose Julia and the movie would be a success.
| 5/10 | bananaskittles@ - first review 14.9.2001 - age: 13-17 |
Ok, this movie seriously sucked! Julia Stiles was sooo bad!! The story was really good but it had a too big "teenager style"...
| 5/10 | -fantasia-@ - 9 reviews 14.9.2001 - age: 13-17 |
Quite a surprising film, though a few key elements from Othello were omitted (probably due to running time restrictions). The acting in this movie was also solid and the writing was neither hokey or choked with cheesy teen speak... All round darn good little movie, though it`s doubtful it will make more than a ripple at the box office. Martin Sheen continues to surprise me as an actor and Julia Stiles will hopefully have a long career in Hollywood... Josh Harnett`s understated performance was absolutely stunning... He deffinately steals the show - even away from lead Mekhi Phifer. I would have enjoyed this movie even more if the little skanks sitting next to me shut up for more than five minutes... hang brats who talk at the movies... crap, there should be a law... Especially at $12.50 a *#!*#!ing movie!!!

All the actors are amazing except for the lead actress, Julia Stiles, who, as we all know, can't act. The guys are all hot!!! Andrew Keegan looks amazing, Josh Hartnett plays a convincing psycho, and Mekhi Phifer deserves an award. The girl playing Emily could have been prettier. The sex scene with Stiles and Phifer was pathetic and almost porno-like. I think it was a good adaptation of the book. I do suggest you to see it, but read the book too, and go rent the first version starring Laurence Fishburne (sooo much better!) see ya'll next time! Ciaoz.

This movie was just OK... The story was slow as hell... The story line was nothing special... EVEN THE CREDITS WERE SLOW!!! Sorry to say but this movie sucked... Honestly, watch it on video so that you can fast forward most parts...

The opening basketball scene had some wonderful cinematography. The young principle actors were very talented. Unfortunately some of the scenes were too slow paced. Very violent ending. Definitely evoked a strong emotional response from the teenagers.
| 7/10 | juliettefong@ - 17 reviews 10.9.2001 - age: 36-49 |
Wonderful movie. The main actors are amazing. It's not as good as the modern version of "Romeo and Juliet" but it's still a great movie that teen should see instead of watching some dumb teen movies "à la Freddie Prinze".

This movie was awesome!!! It was a really good movie that represents well the life of jealousy teens in there life. And it's also a really good mix of the real Shakespeare "Othello" and a mix of this real day life of teens. I just loved this movie!!!!!

Heavy "teen" movie. Good adaptation of a Shakespeare play (unlike Romeo&Juliet). Very recommended.

Saw the movie and I find it interesting that people think that this movie is very interesting. It's just like every other movie! One guy is the mastermind of all, this movie made me think of a chess game... I guess that's where people think it is interesting. If you are looking to see the mind of a twisted dark minded teenager, this is the movie to see!

I walked into this movie with zero expectations and I was very surprised. In the beginning I was afraid this movie is all about basketball but it all changed very quickly. The plot becomes more and more interesting and simply exploded at the end. I could not just jump up from my seat when the movie was over. I had to sit there watching at the credits and wondering to myself. Man! This was a good movie.

"O" me, "O" my! It was kick me in the ass, spit on my neck fantastic. Josh Hartnett gives a dazzling performance and Drake, a farmer's daughter with a love for needle point. Thinking about this movie sends chills down my coxis bone. Check it out, you WONT be disappointed, Or should I say, dis O pointed. If you don't like this movie, my name isn't JENNIFER LEIGH PERZOW. Over and out.
