Adam Sandler gets this movie totally right. A hilarious sendup of all things Israeli. From his authentic macho womanizing swagger to the Israeli lisp when they speak English, "Zohan" is the real deal. Every time I see this little gem I laugh my a** off. If you've never been to Israel or know Israeli's then a lot of this movie won't make sense. When "Zohan" came out it was not a big box office winner because of this. This movie has a positive message, "why can't we all get along with each other". In my opinion this is one of Sandler's best movies. Pass the hummus.

Such an awesome movie. Crazy funny and totally insane.
| 9/10 | shazjoao@ - 1723 reviews 6.10.2011 - age: 36-49 |
I would say this movie was stupid, but a lot of moments were pretty funny. Adam Sandler really should't have done any action, because that was just plain stupid. Since I'm israeli a lot of parts were funny for me. I think Adam could have went just a little easier on the sex jokes too.

This movie had some good parts in this movie but I would have to say that Sandler is slipping a bite.
| 6/10 | balnesjw@ - 93 reviews 21.3.2010 - age: 26-35 |
If you don't know anything about the middle east, you wont like it. If you do, you might actually find it pretty funny. Hummus on everything, Arab taxi drivers, the way the palestinians and the israelis talk. I laughed a couple of times. Not that bad.
| 6/10 | abdu_saboor@ - 31 reviews 30.12.2008 - age: 18-25 |
Really funny. But also really stupid at the same time. Adam Sandler is awesome!
| 8/10 | wizardboy97@ - 6 reviews 21.12.2008 - age: 13-17 |
You have to have a good sense of humor to watch this movie. Otherwise, you'll just be offended by it. In my case, I thought it was a great movie!
| 10/10 | longsiu@ - 2 reviews 20.11.2008 - age: 18-25 |
NEVERNEVERNEVER bring your girlfriend over to watch this one with you!! She WILL be offended. Talking from experience here... It's just bad... there was too much of a sexual theme, and if I had wanted to see a man's bare bum, I'd have gone to google Image and saved myself the time... I missed about half of the movie trying to keep my ten-year old brother from watching it. I had to let him play on MY Xbox which is in MY room.

This movie is just plain bad, stupid, and not funny. What is happening to Adam Sandler... ex-funnyman.
| 2/10 | tomiuk.daniel@ - 3 reviews 22.10.2008 - age: 36-49 |
It was ok and that is pushing it a little... I chuckled a couple of times but man Adam Sandler should concentrate on serious roles instead of busts like this and stuff like Little Nicky...
| 6/10 | isles99@ - 80 reviews 20.10.2008 - age: 26-35 |
Sandler is hilarious as an Israeli super counter - terrorist / sex machine / hairdresser who finds love in the most unlikelinest of places. Good supporting performances by Rob Schneider and John Turturro. Ends with a positive message about middle-eastern relations. Why can't we just all get along?
| 8/10 | chester1958@ - 156 reviews 13.10.2008 - age: 50+ |
It's not Adam Sandler best movie. Some parts were funny but mostly the storyline makes no sense. I would wait for the DVD.
| 6/10 | cocotina@ - 8 reviews 17.9.2008 - age: 26-35 |
A good movie but not the best. I recommend seeing it!

Holy that movie is to FUNNY to be in theatres. Plz see it.
| 10/10 | lmnets52@ - first review 5.9.2008 - age: 13-17 |
Hilarious! Very good laughs. Granted you probably have to be an immigrant to understand all the jokes (especially all the hummus ones) but will definitively keep you entertained. Not for those easily insulted, as it definitively crosses some lines. Must watch!
| 10/10 | mindless_84@ - 5 reviews 4.9.2008 - age: 13-17 |
I thought this movie was very stupid and had no point to it this was defiantly the worst Adam Sandler movie I have ever seen!! I would not recommend it!!
| 3/10 | samara_nebert@ - 3 reviews 29.8.2008 - age: 13-17 |
My husband and I took 2 10 year old and 3 15 year olds to this movie. The young ones didn't get most of it, and the older boys gave it a 7/10 because of all the t&a. Near the end I went to my car to get a blanket so I could catch a nap. This movie was brutal and a complete waste of our $ - both my husband & I agree it was one of the worse ever, and our family is loyal to Adam Sandler's movies.
| 1/10 | dtpozzy@ - 2 reviews 28.8.2008 - age: 36-49 |

Well cast with some rather funny moments and a few good jokes. Much better as a rental than a night out at the movies.
| 6/10 | paulleslie12@ - 404 reviews 25.8.2008 - age: 26-35 |
Actually not that bad considering its an Adam Sandler movie. Follows the same standard plot in most all his movie but its pretty funny throughout. The outrageous action scenes are what save the movie from being just another lame comedy.
| 6/10 | parker_2@ - 296 reviews 20.8.2008 - age: 36-49 |
Stupid jokes for lil boyz, most of the time boooring. Not recommended.
| 3/10 | privacy@ - first review 16.8.2008 - age: 36-49 |
You will laugh until you limp. My lungs were soar from laughing after the movie was finished. But the movie overall has issues. The humor is dumb but laughable. It has some great moments that are completely wrecked by the last half. Which is funny but dies down on ideas. It just gets stupid. They should've just sticked with Sandler being an agent-guy. That would have been good, but they wrecked it by walking into new York. Also, because of Sandler's career, he makes himself look much worse. But this is one of his funnier movies.
| 6/10 | k-onne-r@ - 21 reviews 13.8.2008 - age: 13-17 |
This movie could be better him faking his death and the closet parts.
| 6/10 | diego_3881-cent@ - 37 reviews 12.8.2008 - age: 13-17 |
It's and awesome movie! It is very funny and even has a little part of peace so go on! You have to watch it!
| 10/10 | jenifersher@ - 2 reviews 11.8.2008 - age: 1-12 |
Adam Sandler directed it Most under 13 would not want to see this though... (at least some parts) but very hilarious!
| 8/10 | xcougarlilyx@ - 3 reviews 9.8.2008 - age: 13-17 |
It was pretty good but I wasn't really entertained by the parts without sex or him cutting peoples hair.
| 7/10 | sk8erdude4000@ - 18 reviews 6.8.2008 - age: 13-17 |
Great movie! Gives a nice interpretation to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict :)
| 9/10 | jekonia@ - 3 reviews 3.8.2008 - age: 26-35 |
This movie made me laugh until I cried. Hilarious; especially if you have any friends from Israel. No, no, no, no. You don't HAVE to have friends from Israel to enjoy the movie though; honestly. Hahaha.
| 9/10 | al.ka.bong@ - 7 reviews 3.8.2008 - age: 50+ |
Sandler what did you do? Bring back the funny stuff. This was bad, people actually walked out.
| 2/10 | hudson@ - 30 reviews 31.7.2008 - age: 26-35 |
This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Sandler needs to start doing some better movies or I will start to lose all respect for him as an actor.
| 2/10 | itinkagain@ - 2 reviews 29.7.2008 - age: 36-49 |
I love Sandler, and I thought this was a great movie, I really dont understand the low rating it received. I'd watch it again anytime, very funny.
| 8/10 | warweazel@ - first review 26.7.2008 - age: 50+ |
I love Adam Sandler and he is always a funny guy. Unfortunately if you see the trailer, you've already seen all of the funny parts so might be best to see on video. After the first half of the movie, it really dragged. I still love you Adam...
| 5/10 | renbrykeljam@ - 9 reviews 22.7.2008 - age: 26-35 |
It was good... ok it was very bad because of all the swearing and sexual content , Adam Sandler has made me laugh only to realise that I was laughing at disgusting jokes and crude humor. Not to mention that when this movie came out they had a trailer on tv that made the movie look like a PG not a 14A and I laughed only to the idea but when I turn like 20 or 30 I'll be like what the heck was I thinking! I know that Adam Sandler can do better all horrible stuff I saw on the screen. Please do yourself a favour and only see if you have to and don't bring the children. Why do you care? You may ask , well I care because if some great movie critic write it's great then the whole movie industry will be making this garbage. When I want to laugh I'll take someone that won't give me disgusting jokes. I have to say it was garbage on garbage because the acting was garbage and the plot is some what mixed up so that was garbage too. When I left the movie theatre and slam my popcorn bag in the garbage and pretend it was the movie. Now you know how I feel about the movie you don't need to see it. [...]

I wasn't overly impressed with this film. I expected so much more from Adam Sandler, but this movie didn't cut it. The humour was weak, and there were no original jokes. It just wasn't as good as it could have been.

Being a 13 year old girl and seeing this movie has scarred me for life. It was utterly disgusting, horrible and revolting. Not to mention sexist and racist. I really like Adam Sandler movies! Click for example was funny and touching. This is the worst movie ever. The 10 year old kid kicking my seat and laughing his head off was more amusing than this movie. Adam Sandler... tsk tsk. Everyone who liked this movie... shame. To conclude, this movie was a piece of garbage. (If I was allowed to use "bad words" in this review, I sure would have!)

| 10/10 | mapine@ - 30 reviews 18.7.2008 - age: 36-49 |
This movie was the best. Even in the part where he used his feet classic I rate it 5 thumbs up if we had 5.

Adam Sandler was growing on me with such films as the Wedding singer, 50 First dates and Click. This movie is baaad. Very few laughs and no real story here not that comedies really need one. The highlight was when Zohan gets to style his first customer. Everything else is not worth a laugh.
| 3/10 | prefernothing@ - 127 reviews 16.7.2008 - age: 36-49 |
When I go for a comedy I don't care if it is a little socially inappropriate as some peeps have mentioned here. If it makes me laugh and isn't as gross as Borat, that's good enough.. and this one is just awesome.
| 10/10 | yow@ - first review 16.7.2008 - age: 18-25 |
"Adam Sandler" at his finest. Very funny but then again in some parts very gross. When he brings the elder people into the salon very rude!!
| 8/10 | hawks25@ - first review 15.7.2008 - age: 36-49 |
GAWD awful! I walked out and demanded my $$$ back. Even my BF who likes Sandler said this is trash and was very disappointed.
| 1/10 | kimout222@ - first review 15.7.2008 - age: 36-49 |
This is trash with a capital T. Don't waste your time on this dribble and don't bring your kids at all costs. This is NOT a kids movie with too many lame attempts at sex jokes.

I was born in Israel and didn't find this funny--but very stupid and lame. It gets higher for stupidity not good movie making or entertaining.
| 1/10 | stanisraelny@ - first review 15.7.2008 - age: 50+ |
What a waste of a good roll of film. I could have done better than this drech trash. Not funny but certainly stupid. If you like stupid pet tricks on Letterman, you'll like this. If you're looking for Chris Rock funny, don't waste your time.
| 1/10 | billstillboyko@ - first review 15.7.2008 - age: 50+ |
This movie was pitiful. Bad, bad, bad. I didn't laugh at all and the sex jokes are stupid not funny unless your age = your IQ. Trashy garbage that should go out to the curb.
