This movie suffers from the common weakness that is present in all of todays horror films... it is not very horrific. There are lots of scurrying forms in the darkness but aside from that you never get a close look at the creatures which form the basis for the fear and threat of this movie. Nor do these mysterious creatures every inflict any harm other than psychological throughout the entire film although we are led to believe that they will and do. Even after several of the characters disappear in scenes involving the elusive creatures we still do not know what happens to them other than that they were hauled off by these critters. One thing we see way too much of is Laura Regan's face as the movie camera is almost constantly trained on her every move. Serious overexposure. All of this leaves you looking at your watch and wondering if, when, ever something will happen to alleviate your bordom. Not scary in the least.
