I hate to do this to Channing Tatum and Steven Soderbergh but what a bad, bad, bad movie! I am a woman and I wasn't even entertained. The whole movie was sordid, the dialogues were kinda useless since there was no real storyline whatsoever, the end was so predictable and the 9/10 of the cast were just... fillers. What a horrible, horrible, horrible movie! Yikes!

This was just crap... Very bad filming, the transitions in between the scenes are very badly done, the quality of the image is very poor, the story line doesn't have any dept at all... the whole thing just sucked... my girlfriend didn't like it either... it's just bad!!

Found it weak, lame and boring, the only plus side was the dancing. Not bad at all, the strippers movements all of them that is.

Im a teenage girl lol so I loved this movie of Channing Tatum!!! Haha.

Sexy, yummy! Would love to watch it over and over and over.

Nice eye candy, story could have been better. Ending was disappointing. It felt like they ran out of time and wrapped it up in a pretty little bow in 5 minutes... too bad, had lots of potential.

I thought it was great! Channing Tatum is the hottest man in Hollywood if you ask me. I have seen it 4 times and will buy the DVD when it is released. I liked the story line. Apparently they did too b/c I understand they are getting ready to film Magic Mike 2!!! Can't wait!

I thought they could have worked on the story-line a bit more.

I had to leave the theater 30 min in and I never leave the theater. I kept thinking this will get better but it only got worse. Don't bother with this one, there are so many others that are way better.

BAD movie, BAD! Think it's the worse I've ever seen. Nonexistent acting, no storyline, too long, ridiculous dramas, like who gets strung out on ecstasy? It was just awful. Don't even rent it.

The actors performance was great. All excellent actors. My problem is with the story. You cannot make a great movie with a little story. It lacks of drama. But overall I had a good time. It is a "nice to see" movie.

TERRIBLE. There's absolutely no story to this movie. This is just eye candy for girls and some guys.

Well, I was kinda expecting a more comedic take on this subject matter. It was more or less a fixated tense at times drama by the time the film finished on being expression to a stage. I did enjoy the usual take that Matthew McConaughey brings on with each movie he has been seen in so far. I will honestly say, I found a few parts in the first 30 minutes hard to sit through. Once Matthew showed up, I was more relieved to see where the film would be going. It does have a story worth telling of carousing guys throwing themselves up on a stage in Florida. Matthew does provide most of the entertainment in the movie. The story does have an emphasis on youth and the sexualization that these men put themselves through. It also deals with the reality of trying to stay in the same profession much beyond their years. But whoever thinks this is a comedy is wrong - sorry. The cool music by mid-end did enhance the expected scenes. All in all, I was happy to have watched it. This movie though is mainly for women to plurge on. I kinda knew this going into it as you may find out.

My best friend saw it, her daughter saw it, my daughter saw it, my co-worker saw it... and we ALL loved it! Not only will we see it again, but it WILL be purchased once it is out.

The movie was amazing! I loved the fact that there was romance and comedy all together showing that fantasies should stay fantasies and life is something we can't take for granted.

I would not chose this movie myself to see, I took my niece to it (and she loved it) While other women are mentioning the hot men, great dancing etc. and loved this movie, I was expecting more from the dancing. I thought the male strippers were awful dancers. We are all very use to seeing women's naked bodies shown gratuitously, but a movie about male strippers only shows the naked bums of men? That's male dominated Hollywood for you. Wasn't expecting much from the acting, dialogue etc, but still felt like a waste of time.

Finally a chance for women to see something on the big screen. It's been all naked women for way to long. Left the theater hoarse from screaming withthe fellow ladies... and a few men. People keep snubbing the plot, but I thought the story line was great!

The eye candy was great, but the plot was seriously lacking. The background stories of the characters were none existent. The female leads acting was atrocious, she must have gone to the same acting school as Kristen Stewart. The ending was almost exciting, until you realize that Magic Mike's big dream must have just been to get into his friend's sisters pants, and not run his own business. Overall disappointing.

Really good movie with lots of good and funny parts. I love that movie so much, I would go see it every day.

AWESOME MOVIE!! One for the ladies that's for sure. MORE movies that cater to the LADIES (like Magic Mike) are needed. So sick and tired of naked women being used as "filler" in pretty much every movie to hit the screen. But then again, Men get bored very easily and need to be constantly entertained and titillated via women being exploited and objectified... Men are 'visual' they say - WELL WOMEN ARE VISUAL TOO! I don't know of any woman on the planet who doesn't like to see a hot, half naked man!! We need more movies like this for the ladies!!
