Notice a lot of people who give the movie high marks don't say anything of substance about it other than 'OMG' or 'he or she is hot'. How you feel about the movie does not tell me why I should see it (again) I like the HP movies but this one has serious problems. Have you ever seen a great trailer for a movie only to find the trailer is better than the movie? Well, this movie is one big long trailer. After all, it is very exciting, shows great CGI and gives you some vague hints concerning the story. I couldn't figure out why many events were occurring, such why and how Harry's friends ended up trapped under water. Valdemort's reappearance in this (and the other movies)confused me. I don't remember if Harry's friends even did ANY magic. Aside from adolescent growing pains and Dumb-as-a-door's apparant senility, to explain their behaviors, everyone seemed out of character. There were way too many new characters and ones we have come to love were not there. I am curious to see the 'real' movie, now that I've seen the verrry long 'trailer' for the book! Peter Jackson would've done a better job, but kids are not going to sit for 4 hours. Trying to take HP from a kid's story to adult entertainment is also very pernicious. What will Rawlins do next? HP meets Emmanuelle? But I bet that the theaters will still be filled with underage kids to watch it, listening to more than 'bloody ell' and STILL saying, OMG he or she is sooo hot!
