Let me start this by saying, I was greatly disappointed with it. I was hoping it would start a new franchise. It won't. It will be notable as being 2014's first rotten movie. There have been so many widely varying versions of the character, but really, what the crap happened here? I saw no horror or suspense. Nothing! I wasn't alone on this thought, as a few of the patron's that stayed watching, either fell asleep or had the same reasons as I. And I saw it on the biggest screen possible! The two main 'name' actors, were wasted in this Aussie - made flick. I am so despondent over this movie, I actually feel bad for the two main actors. Even the music was lack-lustre. Sounded like a 1990's video game track throughout. The 3D was worthless, it was added on after, and you can plainly understand why. Nothing could save it. If I was the producer, I would've made it black and white, just to give to some atmosphere. Nothing can keep this movie alive. I will add, the 2004 movie " Van Helsing" had a far-better Frankenstein monster in it. The producers would've been far more succeeding sticking to that traditional look of the monster. It should've been, and this is one of the reasons why "I, Frankenstein" fails to generate scares.
