Taken was a surprise hit a few years ago so no surprise that studios green-lit this sequel which sees Liam Neeson have to protect his daughter and also his ex wife this time from vengeful family members of all the people he blew away in the first movie, which is a helluva lot of pissed off relatives. Yes it's ridiculous, even overtly so at times, but Neesson is so good at this sort of thing and once the film gets going it never stops. It also manages to equal, or maybe even top the phone conversation from the original as Neeson teaches his daughter a little improvisational navigating, not to mention a crash course in drivers ed. If you were a fan of the original and I was, then you should be thoroughly entertained by this one. Expect Taken 3 soon.
