I was late in becoming an Amy Winehouse fan but once I clicked in I heard the genius. This documentary does a wonderful job of putting the real Amy out for all to see. Made easy because of the circumstances of our video age. The compilation of hundreds of snippets of video, audio, and media sources, interviews with friends and family allows us to enter the world of a troubled but immensely talented young lady who stumbles into fame & fortune. It made me cry! If you love Amy then this movie does not sugar coat anything, good or bad, it's there for all to see. The music is fine but that isn't the point of this film but rather to tell the tale of fragile but gifted person and her decent into addiction and success.
