Clint Eastwood's direction and production reveal a cautious and discreet exploration into the man (J. Edgar Hoover) who paradoxically compromised American citizen's right in order to preserve the American way of life. Overall it was a well executed movie but and worth checking out, but if you expect something salient you may be disappointed as the treatment is rather conservative.
