A combination of bad sets, shotty writing and over acting, makes this movie a complete disappoint. Altogether, the glaring errors never allowed me to buy in to the action and suspense trying to be developed. The biggest mystery for me is whether the writers are that unknowledgeable about aircraft or if they just figure the audience is stupid. I will use some small examples so as to not spoil the plot, AND there are large holes in the plot. Next time you are on an intercontinental flight, write on the inside window condensation. You wont be able to if your aircraft caries more than 30 people, there is none. And after a certain height, if it was there it would be frozen. The jet is de-iced waay too early. The spacious sets never feel like a jet, new or not. Jets, especially cargo space, make use of every nook and cranny. Not so here. Are we lead to believe the next generation of state-of-the-art jets will be poorly designed like this? And in Canada, Jodie Fosters character would be arrested at the end. She is in Newfoundland, not Florida. There are lots of things relating to airport security procedures; and International, Canadian and US legal procedures that are glaringly wrong here. But again, to mention them spoils the plot. Erika Christensen was a rare gem in this flick. Too bad she didnt have a larger part.
