WOW! A brilliant movie. Eastwood has impressed me with three consecutive great must see movies in a row. And this is the best one. It is refreshing to see a war movie not based on the American View. We haven’t seen that since Enemy at the Gates. So showing this tale of the Japanese side, to show the doom, their mistakes, and insubordination, all things I wasn’t expecting, was risky for Hollywood, and inspirationally refreshing.
