Village of the Damned based on the story, "The Midwich Cuckoos" by John Wyndham tells the story of a town where everyone faints and is cut off from the outside world for several hours and when the residents come to several hours later all the women of child bearing age are pregnant. This film is a remake of an earlier British film from the 60's. As far as remakes go this one was pretty good sticking pretty closely to the original film. Christopher Reeve and Kirstie Alley give convincing performances as do the strange children that were all born to their unsuspecting hosts. This remake has a bit more oomph than the original film and is definitely worth seeing. An eerie gem.
