A lot of movie reviews I have read say that Gamer is a just a cheap carbon copy of movies life Death Race and Rollerball while I do admit they do share a common similarity that if a person wins enough matches they get set free but really to me that's there only real similarity besides all three being hollywood action movies. I mean there is no mention or presence of mind control in Death Race and neither is there in Rollerball. Anyways the action is perfect, the acting is superb I think both Gerard Butler and Michael C. Hall did perfect jobs, and the odd bit of comedy is well placed I might add. One part I really didn't get was why was Gerard Butler's character called Kable and whenever anybody calls him Kable he corrects them by saying my name is John Tillman not Kable I thought the nickname would have some kind of meaning like he relied heavily on electrical weapons or something but that's my only complaint really and if you think about it it is very minuscule so it doesn't really matter in the end. Anyways perfect show my favorite of the summer and recommended to pretty much anybody who has hit there teens excellent show surprisingly intelligent.

I find it amazing that you describe the movie as surprisingly intelligent, and yet most adults said there was no plot included in the movie. Judging by most your reviews, you seem to give any action movie a 10 as long as there is shooting and guns involved. I agree ; the movie is no Death Race nor Rollerball, for there have been movies like this way before those came out. After reading your review I can't seem to find one thing you said that made the movie tempting to see. Darkman is no 10, it was a 6.5 in the 80s, and now it's just a 4. Anywayzzz...
"Kable" with electrical weapons (in future)? Sounds like one of the Marvel characters from X-Men... Hmm could be interesting!
Well what can I say I am just not very picky when it comes to most movies and as for the movie being surprisingly intelligent I have changed my mind about that a friend of mine dragged me to theater to see it a second time and I found some parts of it very dumb. Oh well I still like this movie but I feel a 8 or 9 out of 10 is a better rating now.
