Die Hard, again. The first half was exciting but then began to wear. Who honestly needs intrusive fake news updates to tell us what is going on, in case we missed it, in this kind of movie? Set-up of president's son's knowledge of the White House layout nicely done, then basically thrown away. Weak dialogue. Bad ending with lots of unnecessary extra talk. Studio muddling? Big wasted opportunity: bad guys knew of Gerard Butler's wife, working near by, and didn't go after her to get at him.
