San Andreas

Well what is there to say about San Andreas? Well The Rock is as usual the worst actor of the group. In all honesty he has so much charisma like arnold that he gets away with it but perhaps doubling up on some acting training would not hurt him at all. Alexandra however is mind blowing, both physically with her piercingly beautiful blue eyes, then with her command of the screen. She is undoubtedly someone that will get a lot from this exposure as to my surprise, she's been acting for the past 10 years. I highly expect her to join the ranks of Shaileen & Jennifer as the top female acting elite. She was absolutely believable in every facet of her role. All supporting actors where great as well, from the british brothers to the magnificent carla gugino. Of course, you do not go to see this movie for the acting but for the special effetcs and to that end, the movie does not disappoint! It passes and raises the bar on all points. IT also gives a much more real vision of what the movement of the tectonic plates at a 9.5 richter scale would involve. We seem to forget the exponential damage caused! All in all, this movie is a worthy summer blockbuster fully worth the entry price. In fact its one of those movies that should be seen on the big screen (something I hardly say as of late!) Now, if only The Rock could start acting! Must say though that for all his shortcommings as an actor, I'm still an admirer.
