The hills are alive... With the sound of SCREAMS! This film owes a nod to Southern Comfort, Aliens and Predator-like those movies, it involves soldiers being picked-off one by one by something both unseen and unforeseen. Also, it can be looked at as being an allegory to the quagmire the the American forces find themselves to be in in Iraq. I would have given the original The Hills Have Eyes a 10,but this sequel only deserves a 7 because the heroes seem to be interchangeable without distinct personalities and the killings are not as delightfully brutal, disturbing and gory compared to the ones committed in the original.
