I think the movies high ratings are largely unjustified and somewhat provoked by an elegant use of nicely crafted short stories to seemingly depict some frailty in human nature. The work however, as a complete film, is largely undeserving of such praise.
The title is exactly what the movie is about: wild tales. Short Stories of a seemingly wild outcome, that sort of remind us that these wild tales are around us everyday. They happen. We will all see some part of our nature in these characters, though not to the extentportrayed, and will automatically grant praise to a filmmaker that brings them to the screen in a somewhat relatable fashion. I will say however that instead of taking the time of having one well crafted, well scripted storyline of high impact, nucely defined characters, etc. you have some short mockeries of human traits. I for one did not feel it warranted the exceptional marks it got.
