Everest is a powerful account of the tragic events of 1996. It's a sobering look at the immense dangers and risks associated with climbing Everest, how it has become a shamelessly commercial venture available to anyone with sufficient money, and a frightening expose of just how quickly, and frequently, things can go wrong. Indeed, the film effectively presents just how little control climbers actually have over the plethora of variables that can and did doom an expedition. It's extremely well made and vastly entertaining. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment.
