I've always liked the 5 main comic actors in this film (even the much maligned Spade and Schneider) But they have all much much better films on their own, so it is perplexing that GROWNUPS is of only average quality. It seems that 90% of the dialog was improvised; they should have taken their time and wrote funnier jokes. Also, there is not much of a plot- the characters just sit around and talk. In summary, this is a disappointment considering the all-star cast.
