All in all I definitely thought the story held together and it was a worthwhile effort that will be appreciated by younger fans. For me, I do prefer tobey maguire's spidey to the newer andrew garfield one. Tobey gave the character more depth, intelligence and made a seemingly ordinary man, somewhat mystified by his gifts into an incredible persona. With Andrew there is no conflict between the hero and the man, no struggle, it's as if he was born a hero and is cool for it. There is a semblance of one with Gwen but even then it was more profound in Tobey's films. Even the death of Gwen doesn't go to the depths it could have. In addition, I expected a whole lot more of rhino who is seemingly incredibly played by Paul Giamatti. I certainly look forward to that movie. I'm not sure what exactly marvel has planned for the spiderman in terms of fitting him into the bigger marvel world. The sinister six movie & Venom should be great and I look forward to it.
