    The Protector

If only Tony Jaa perfected his english a little more, he'd be the next Bruce Lee. He's got all the skills and acrobatics to entertain endlessly (almost) but the script to this movie is a little amateurish. From the beginning to the end, the script just doesn't fit. The storyline isn't the problem, just the dialogue which just doesn't work. The actors aren't that bad but the script doesn't help them all that much. Truthfully this movie wouldn't go far without Jaa as a starring role. Which brings me to my next point. People are going to see this movie with much more enthusiasm than expected for a foreign film, and that speaks very highly of Jaa. From his first movie, Ong-baak, he thoroughly impressed viewers (including myself) and has found an avid following. Its time for Jaa to see that he's surpassed what small budget movies can offer and go for bigger productions that will showcase his talent properly through better choreographed fighting action scenes, better actors, and a better script. Altogether, this movie fails on numerous level but Jaa still keeps the viewers interested by flawless execution of death-defying stunts and incredible agility. YOu should only go see this movie to see Jaa in action but then again, his previous picture was much better.
