"You have done some terrible things, Lawrence... some very terrible things". I am a fan of the Universal horror movies of the 1930s and 40s and "The Wolfman" continues with this tradition with, of course, increasing the special effects and gore that today's audiences crave. I have always thought that Benicio Del Toro has a primitive, animalistic quality to him so he was particularly well-casted as the doomed creature. Anthony Hopkins is excellent as his grizzled father who hides a secret. The Victorian England cities and countryside are also depicted very realistically.
