There are almost no movies from Edward Zwick that don't offer some degree of satisfaction. Defiance, firstly, has a quartet of very good actors in Daniel Craig, Liev Schreiber and Jamie Bell and George MacKay. Its theme is one that has been filmed many times before (WW II and the Holocaust) This one takes place in Poland itself and shows a different side to the resistance of the Nazis as we see Jewish brothers in combative roles, not willing to be victims. Missed this film when first released. Definitely worth a home view.
