Vincente Minelli's 'The Bandwagon" is considered one of the great musicals of the 1950's. There are plenty of laughs with comedic skits and wonderful dancing between Fred Astaire and the statuesque Cyd Charisse. Oscar Levant, as usual, provides his drôle sense of humour and Nanette Fabray shows her versatility as a comedic actor and very good dancer. These 1950's musicals were very well made, but I don't appreciate them in the spirit in which they were made.
