William Wyler's great drama about a gang of thugs who take refuge in a proper home to escape the clutches of the law. The film has an incredibly strong cast from Frederic March, Humphrey Bogart (in a tough role once again) Arthur Kennedy, Martha Scott and more. Brilliant directing by Wyler. The B + W cinematography seems to enhance the whole ambiance of the film.
