This 3 hour saga depicts a total recreation of D-Day from multi-positions and getting it what seems pretty accurate. If overly long it is suspenseful and has a cast of world known stars from every part of the globe. I believe this was Darryl F. Zanuck's personal stamps on one of the last films he produced personally. Don't be surprised to see all sorts of newcomers and veterans working together, from Paul Anka to John Wayne. A must for lovers of authentic, very true to life war films.
